  • Delwyn, Evah’s founder, creates globally-adopted sustainability benchmarks, databases, guidelines, specifications and EPDs. Her national firsts include LCA Auditor to the Olympic Coordination Authority and LCA of NSW Supply green procurement contracts. Other national firsts include LCA of products, public buildings, infrastructure, EPDs (ThermoShield). He briefs achieved the first 5-star Australian Building Greenhouse Rating. Her global firsts include LCA of whole-life net-positive-carbon building design and piloting construction-sector virtual-modelling LCA software at Stanford University USA and on KPMG Head Office in Holland


Mathilde Vlieg in San Sebastian Spain

 

  • Mathilde has world leading, recognised experience developing LCA for 3rd party certified ecolabels and EPDs. A 3rd party LCA and EPD verifier Mathilde is a MSc Industrial Ecology graduate from the TU Delft and University of Leiden in the Netherlands. Since 2015 she has been an Evah Associate. To conferences she has spoken about LCAs of timber and bioplastic vs recycled plastic and has given webinars on the future of LCA including Benefit Assessment for the Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle Innovation (FSLCI). An expert OpenLCA user. Living in Spain since 2020 she continues her Evah Institute work as well as European LCA and Life Cycle Thinking initiatives.

 


Direshni Naiker in Durban South Africa

 

  • Direshni, an Evah Associate since 2019, is the Principal of Environmental Consulting in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal of South Africa. Direshni is passionate about integrating LCA in South African business practice. She develops Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting, Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) and Sustainability Strategies, Environmental Product and Building Certifications, Greenhouse Gas Reporting, UN Life Cycle Management Capability Maturity Model (LCM-CMM) Water Footprinting, Enterprise Environmental Management Information plus Energy and Environmental Management Systems.

 

Rochelle Bright  in Mount Tamborine Queensland Australia

 

  • Rochelle is Evah's Communications Associate who joined us late in 2021. A writer all her life Rochelle has spent years working in communications in government, and for organisations like the Australian Red Cross Blood Service and Headspace. As a linguist she is passionate about developing positive messaging literacy and numeracy for Nature Positive Initiatives in all of the arts and sciences. Rochelle is professional communicator, educator and coach with experience in strategic and operational roles across the public, tertiary education, and not-for-profit sectors. Her academic background includes a BA (Linguistics), BPhil (Politics, Hons 1), and a Diploma in Editing and Publishing, and she is certified in communication and performance coaching, neurolinguistic programming, and group facilitation. Obsessed with the relationship between language, communication, and behaviour, Rochelle is a self-confessed idealist who is on a mission to help Evah save the world.

Shloka Ashar in Brisbane Queensland Australia

 

  • An Evah Associate author since 2019 Shloka now conducts 3rd-party compliance reviews of EN15804, ISO 14025, ISO 21930 EPD as a 3rd party verifier. Her specialty is developing under Queensland Human Rights, Federal and NSW Modern Slavery Acts. She has done project, clientele management and client communications and was instrumental in developing Evah’s founding life cycle benefit assessment methodologies and LCI databases for OpenLCA software. She developed new services for Global GreenTag clients in Modern Slavery declarations. Shloka was formerly Global Green tag Lead Product Assessor and Program Director Delegate.

Dr Lesley Friend Brisbane Queensland Australia

 

  • Lesley, Evah’s lead Education Associate consults on sustainability pedagogy and education reform in diverse cultures. She mentors to enhance capacity and improve learning outcomes; lead, manage and promote ways for education systems to reform. Lesley has developed accountability systems to measure capacity; built professional learning communities that take ownership, lead and manage innovative curriculum reform for productive inquiry. Her systems for State, Federal and overseas Governments are used to measure learning outcomes. An educator and writer, has worked in diverse contexts to facilitate educational reform. Her belief is that sustainability starts with dynamic education that is immediately responsive to the world around us, translates into action around curriculum design, mentoring in current pedagogical practices and designing authentic assessment. Her work as a reformist with Qatar, the UAE, India and Queensland education systems has aimed to improve practice to deliver better planners, teachers and assessors.

 

 

Dr Phillipa Watson,

 

  • Phillipa is an Architect, Sustainability Consultant and LCI researcher since 1995. Her design decision-making and construction delivery frameworks are highly developed. While at CSIRO she contributed to LCA software development and at Brisbane City Design she developed and implemented 3 new green tools. Her PhD is in adaptation to Climate Change.

 

Dr Steve Watson

 

  • Steve is a Sustainable Building Consultant, Designer and Architect with a Ph D in Environmental Design Processes. He is a 2008 BERS Professional and a 2005 Green Globe Design & Construct Assessor and 2004 GreenStar Accredited Professional. A former University Architectural Research Fellow he also lectures in Sustainable Design and Technology at Universities and TAFEs.
